Hi! My name is Takashi, and I work as a taxi driver in Osaka, Japan.
As part of my job, I have the opportunity to drive many international visitors every day. Through these experiences, I’ve often realized that there are many things that seem completely normal to us Japanese, but are surprisingly unfamiliar or unknown to visitors from overseas.
Since you’ve traveled all the way to Japan, I truly want you to enjoy your time here as much as possible. As a taxi driver in Osaka, I often try to share useful local tips and recommendations with my passengers. However, during a short taxi ride, it’s difficult to share everything I’d like to tell you.
That’s why I created this website—to help visitors to Japan make the most of their trip and enjoy a better travel experience.
Osaka has long been known as a city of merchants, and it is also famous as one of Japan’s greatest food cities. It is said that Osaka’s food culture developed because talented chefs came from Kyoto, while excellent ingredients were brought by sea from Shikoku.
The spirit of Osaka can be summed up in one phrase: “cheap and delicious.”
This has always been the mindset of Osaka’s merchants, and that is exactly the spirit of this website. Here, I introduce affordable but delicious food, hidden local spots, and great-value experiences.
Unfortunately, I cannot introduce many luxury restaurants or expensive attractions—but the good news is, in Osaka, you don’t need to spend a lot of money to enjoy amazing food and memorable experiences.
Of course, there are many wonderful places in Osaka that I cannot possibly cover on one website. I hope this site serves as a helpful guide and encourages you to discover even more of Osaka on your own—to explore, enjoy, and create your own unforgettable memories.
I sincerely hope this website helps make your trip to Japan even more enjoyable.
Welcome to Osaka, and enjoy your adventure!
